Kids Love TV

Kids’ laughter. That’s what met me when I opened the door to our house yesterday. My two kids were watching their favorite cartoon show, Tom and Jerry and they were laughing their hearts out. They love to watch cartoons just like any other kids. Yet, I only give them one hour of TV time during weekdays. From the moment I opened the door, I know I will break their hearts again if I will tell them that TV time is over. Since mothers hate seeing their kids broken hearted, I gave them an extension and warned them that TV time will be over soon. It’s Friday anyway, a little extension won’t hurt.

Ondemand

I’m glad today is Saturday as I’m a bit loose with their TV time during weekends. I don’t have to wrestle with them when they want to watch their favorite cartoon shows. I understand kids don’t have a lot of patience when it comes to their TV schedules. I’m also relieved On Demand helps me fight less with my kids. They can now watch their favorite shows anytime. If your kids are just like mine, try to visit and get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page. Curious what On Demand is? Click here to learn more at charter.net/ondemand. Happy viewing and enjoy your weekend. ;)

My Pregnancy: 29 weeks

It's a girl!

Yes! At long, long, last, I now know the gender of my baby. Just this morning I went to my doctor and she finally told me the gender. I also have nothing to worry now as both my placenta and the baby are now in their correct positions. Although my daughter is very happy about the baby being a girl, both my hubby and my son are a little bit saddened by the news. They both want it to be a boy, perhaps they want another addition to their team. Anyways, my son just told me that hopefully, the next on will be a boy! Whaaaat? As of the moment, I don't want to think of another baby coming after this one. LOL!

How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

MM: Now and Forever

I wasn't able to write a post about the Air Supply concert that I watched two weeks ago just because of the fact that I wasn't able to bring a camera with me. I don't feel like posting about it because I have no pictures to show. It would be nice to brag about it if only I have taken a lot pictures. Anyway, the concert was great and I really did have a blast. I couldn't seem to get enough of their music so here I am featuring another one of their songs, Now and Forever!

Happy Music Monday to all!

Now and Forever
Air Supply

When love is new
And the world is out reaching for you
We try hard to hold it all
In our hands
But it slips through
Like soft drifting sands
But drying the tears
Can build it all like new

(chorus)
Now and forever
Remember the words
From my heart will always be true
Now and forever
Together and all that I feel
Heres my love for you

Learning each day
That the right time was so far away
To tell you the things I knew
Now its clear
That the moment
We searched for is here
And counting the years
Is all I want to do

(chorus)
Hold me as close
As love will allow
Until all your fears are gone
What has all passed
Is over now
Im here with you
Im here with you
Im holding on
Im holding on
Is my love for you
(repeat chorus)

Mailbox For Snail Mails

Without access to the internet for a few days, I wasn’t able to check my electronic mails. Yet, I was never apprehensive. I was confident none of my mails would get lost. I’m so thankful my inbox, a mailbox for electronic mails, can hold thousands of messages either read or unread. How I wish I also have a mailbox for my snail mails. Perhaps, I don’t have to be concerned about them getting lost. By the way, my snail mails are not delivered directly on my doorstep. Only the guards receive my mails for me and they are the ones who will bring it to our house. Indeed, a very big probability for my snail mails to be misplaced.

I think the only way to resolve the problem of my mails getting lost is by placing a wall mount mailbox on the gate. With it, the post man can directly drop the mails on them which I can pick up later on. That way, the guards would have less task to do and my snail mails would be more secured. I tried to browse the net and I found out that MailboxIxchange.com has over 2500 high quality mailboxes with intricate and lovely designs. Oh, what a huge number to choose from but I specifically like this beautiful Fleur de Lis design. I bet there are more beautiful designs so I’d better start looking now. See you later, folks!

1,2,3...Scrub

After almost a week at the hospital, doing nothing aside from taking care of my sick husband, watching TV, sleeping and eating, I felt the need to do some little exercise or just simply to sweat out to keep my body healthy. I did the exercise fit for pregnant women and later on decided to clean the whole house. I’m so thankful it only needs a little cleaning although the kitchen sink, an undermount stainless steel sink, needs a lot of scrubbing. Whew! It may be exhausting but it is good to sweat out aside from seeing the whole house literally gleaming!

By the way, you can find a one stop shop for sinks and faucets at warehouse prices here. They sell directly from their factory so they offer you superior quality products at affordable prices. Most of all, their products are backed by a lifetime warranty. So if you are looking for undermount stainless steel sinks, porcelain bathroom sinks, or kitchen and bathroom faucets, check out the site and chose from their wide variety of designs.

Excuse me for a while, let me get back to my exercise and my cleaning, 1, 2, 3 … scrub, scrub, scrub…*whew*

Sisters Tag

I'm always touched everytime someone tags me. I feel loved! Thanks so much to Liza of Mommy's Little Corner for giving me this wonderful and loving tag.

Start copying here:

Be the kind of women that when your feet hit the floor each morning,
The devil says "Oh Crap, She's Up."
Sister, life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe in everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly.
God never said life would be easy.
He just promise it would be worth it.
Today is sister's day.

To the cool women that have touched my life.
this is for you.....LOVE U!!!

Rules:

Tag all your sisters, mothers, daughters, aunts, girlfriends.
If you get tag back seven times, you are loved.
Happy sister's day! LOVE YA SISTA!!!
Girlfriend and sisters WEEK.

Now it's my turn to pass this tag to my friends that are more like sisters to me, Gagay, Mariuca, Monica, Sunshine and to my sister Rina.

Bored At The Hospital

Yes, I was in the hospital the whole time I was absent here in the blogosphere. If you are wondering what I’m doing there, my darling husband was hospitalized. He was twisting in pain for one whole day before we finally decided to bring him to the hospital. We were there since Monday and we went home just early this morning. Why? He had stones in his right kidney. Don’t ask me to elaborate further, please. I’m not good with medical terms. All I understand is that some of the stone was expelled when he urinated and the doctor said it was a good thing but there is still a bigger one blocking his ureter, the tube connecting the kidney and the bladder. As of now, he is fine, but he still needs to undergo a shockwave treatment or an operation or else his kidney condition will complicate.

Meanwhile, it is indeed so boring in the hospital. I never left the hospital the whole time we were there and I wasn’t able to bring my pocketbook or something that would occupy me. I have nothing to do except watch TV when my husband was fast asleep. A few times, I just chose to eat or sleep over watching TV as there is no show that would interest me. I don’t think the hospital we stayed in has Direct TV as there are only a few channels to choose from. In my opinion, I suppose it would be better if hospitals subscribe to Satellite Directv so that watchers like me would be able to enjoy hundreds of channels while taking care of our sick loved ones.

Isn’t it wonderful if the hospital we stayed in has DirectTV where we pass the time by watching movie after movie? I’m not saying that so that we would keep coming back to the hospital. Let’s admit it, we don’t know when sickness strikes and it would be nice to stay in a hospital where we won’t get bored to death. Right? Well, I just hope and pray none of us would get sick. Keep healthy everyone!

Casino Newbie

I don’t know if I should be proud or embarrassed that I have been to a casino only once in my entire life. Worse, I have never played in Online Casinos. I don’t know how to gamble nor do I know how to play poker, backgammon, baccarat or whatever they play there. However, I have played the slot machines the only time I was there and I say I really did enjoy the whole time I was playing. Although, I really never won.

Yet, I never lose hope. I still want to go back there and play other games as well. I also want to try playing on an online casino. I’m glad I found a site that is perfect for beginners like me. CasinoNewbies.com offers online casino guide and tutorials. It also offers the current online reviews so that I may know which online casino sites are safe for gambling. And what I like the most is that the site has free flash casino games for me to practice on. That way, I’ll be able to learn how to play the games before actually playing them with my money on. I had some fun when I tried playing the roulette. I felt lucky it made me itch to play the real one.

If you are new to internet gambling like me, why not try visiting the site? Try their free flash games and find out if you are lucky. Enjoy!

Head First

Too bad. I have always thought I'm a hopeless romantic but Blogthings thinks otherwise. Based on the quizzes I took it seems Blogthings disapproves of it. Although I find it disappointing, I totally agree with it. Like this quiz, for instance, I agree I use my head first before I listen to my heart. Perhaps, I'm not really romantic after all. ;)

How about you? Why not take this quiz and find out what Blogthings say about you. Here's mine!

You Follow Your Head

You're rational, collected, and logical.

Generally, it takes you quite a while to fall in love.

In fact, you've even been accused of being very picky.

While you're cool, you're not ice cold.

You just know what you want, and don't mind waiting to get it.

No Card, No Worries

You won’t believe it if I say I don’t have a credit card. Well, I don’t have one now but I used to have one before. My one and only credit card expired last June 2007 and after all the spending and bad credit, I have decided that it would be better if we go separate ways. I didn’t renew the said card.

As you see, it’s hard to have a credit card close at hand if you are an impulsive buyer like me. I buy things without thinking even if I don’t really need it. If I see a specific item on sale I would immediately bring it to the cashier even if I don’t have enough cash on hand, anyway I have a credit card. Later on, after I have done a little thinking, only then would I regret buying it. Only then would I realize that there are more important things to buy and the one I recently bought is not even on the list. That kind of attitude made my credit card bills so high I found it hard to pay up. It’s hard to fix bad credit if they had piled up one after the other. That is why, after I have made the necessary payments, I have decided to end the life of my credit card and promised never to submerge myself with debts.

At first it was absolutely hard especially if I see the enchanting, big red “SALE” sign, but eventually I got used to it. Although I missed having one, I never regretted I discontinued its use. With no card to depend on, I only buy things that I need and within the budget. I can now sleep soundly having no worries whatsoever on where to get payment for my debts. .

So before you go shopping this weekend, remember to fix your credit first before the interests pile up and you’d find it hard to catch up on the payments. Always remember having a credit card takes a lot of self discipline and knowing between your needs and your wants. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

My Pregnancy: 27 weeks

Yes, I'm on my 27th week but still I haven't bought even a single baby thing, even a crib. If I would have a premature baby, he would undoubtedly have nothing to wear and nothing to sleep on. I do want to buy those things since the minute I knew I'm pregnant but I wanted to buy something that fits his gender. (Btw,I'm only assuming my baby is a boy that's why I'm using HE.) Due to my baby's position which is transverse lie, his gender is still unknown until now. So I postponed my shopping until my next visit. Hopefully, I'll know the baby's gender by that time.

How your baby's growing:
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

MM: All Out of Love

Woohoooo! I just got the very good news! Hubby got me the ticket for the Air Supply concert tonight! I'm so excited and I can't wait to see it. Sadly though, I wouldn't be able to take pictures of it since I don't have a camera anymore. But I'm hoping I can borrow from my friend. For the meantime let's enjoy another song from them. Happy Music Monday everyone!

All Out of Love
Air Supply

I'm lying alone with my head on the phone
Thinking of you till it hurts
I know you hurt too but what else can we do
Tormented and torn apart
I wish I could carry your smile and my heart
For times when my life feels so low
It would make me believe what tomorrow could bring
When today doesn't really know, doesn't really know

Chorus:
I 'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you
I know you were right believing for so long
I 'm all out of love, what am I without you
I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong

I want you to come back and carry me home
Away from this long lonely nights
I'm reaching for you, are you feeling it too
Does the feeling seem oh so right
And what would you say if I called on you now
And said that I can't hold on
There's no easy way, it gets harder each day
Please love me or I'll be gone, I'll be gone

Chorus

Oh, what are you thinking of?
What are you thinking of?
Oh, what are you thinking of?
What are you thinking of?

Chorus(3x)

Bid For A Digital Camera

One important gadget that is connected to a blogger’s life is a digital camera. The pictures that it would produce would testify the truthfulness of what the blogger is blogging most especially if the blogger talks about personal issues. Not only is it important to a blogger’s life but also to one’s personal life. The memories that it would capture are priceless and are therefore worthy to be cherished forever.

Unfortunately, I don’t have that gadget anymore. When the burglars got in our house, they brought with them my beloved digital camera together with my most treasured laptop with its precious contents. Thus, I have been blogging picture-less for months. So when hubby got me a laptop for my birthday, I was extremely delighted. I now have my gadget for blogging and I can’t ask for more. Demanding for a new digital camera would be too much. Therefore, I put the task of buying a new camera on my behalf. I wanted to buy a Digital SLR camera but that kind of camera is awfully expensive so I’ll better content myself with the cheaper ones.

I am planning to use my earnings from blogging to buy the digital camera. In that case, it would serve as my first ever remembrance of my hard work from blogging. I think I can buy one for less at unique auction sites like Bidhere.com. This online auction site offers the latest, hottest and most wanted gadgets at bargain prices. I might place my bid there and get that digital camera for less. But prior to that, I have to work extra hard. I have to earn enough funds before my due date so that I can take a lot of pictures when I give birth to my dear angel. I hope a lot of opportunities would come my way so I can buy it soon. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Air Supply Concert Ticket

Oh no, it’s Friday! It’s the end of the week and I still don’t have the desired ticket for the Air Supply Now and Forever Concert at Koronadal City. I’ve been waiting for the free VIP tickets since August and until now I still don’t have them. The concert will be on October 12, that’s three(3) days away, and I’m now running out of time. I don’t know if there are still available tickets or if they are all sold out. I have yet to find out.

Nevertheless, if I didn’t depend much on the promised free tickets, perchance I would have purchased the said tickets online at ACheapSeat.com. Still I am optimistic about getting hold of the ticket as I really don’t want to miss this concert. I love Air Supply and I love their songs and I really want to see them perform live. I don’t know if there will still be any chance for me to see them perform. I think this will only be it, hence, I really have to find a way to get hold of those much wanted tickets. Good luck to me, then.

By the way, since I’m now talking about tickets and if by any chance you’re planning to purchase Kentucky Derby Tickets, Metropolitan Opera House Tickets, Notre Dame Stadium Tickets or just any ticket, just click on the links and the scheduled events and dates are posted there for you. Go visit the links now before the tickets are all sold out. Happy Friday to all. ;)

My Pregnancy: 26 Weeks

He has indeed grown and you can tell just merely by looking at the size of my tummy. How my back aches every night, thanks to my growing uterus and weight of my baby. Until now, I don't have a name for my baby due to the fact that I still don't know the gender. Also, I'm too lazy to look for baby names of both gender. I'd prefer to think of one only so I'll wait until I know the gender. Likewise, I have not bought baby things yet like clothes, crib, etc. That's me! I postpone things and would cram when on a deadline. LOL! I just hope I won't give birth earlier than my due date. :)

How your baby's growing:
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

MM: Here I Am

Hello, hello, hello! It’s the first Monday of October and I feel so alive, alert and enthusiastic. Woohooo! I hope this will last until the end of the week. Anyways, Air Supply World Tour Concert at Koronadal City will be this coming October 12 and I still don’t have a ticket. (*panic*). I’m waiting to get hold of a free VIP ticket but I don’t know if it will be possible. Still, Here I Am crossing my fingers and I hope I will get one or two anytime this week.

Enjoy listening and Happy Music Monday to all!

Here I AM
Air Supply

Here I am playing with those memories again
And just when I thought time had set me free
Those thoughts of you keep taunting me

Holding you, a feeling I never outgrew
Though each and every part of me has tried
Only you can fill that space inside

So theres no sense pretending
My heart its not mending

(chorus)
Just when I thought I was over you
And just when I thought I could stand on my own
Oh baby those memories come crashing through
And I just cant go on without

On my own Ive tried to make the best of it alone
Ive done everything I can to ease the pain
But only you can stop the rain

I just cant live without you
I miss everything about you

(chorus)
Just when I thought I was over you
And just when I thought I could stand on my own
Oh baby those memories come crashing through
And I just cant go on without
Go on without
Its just no good without you

One More TV

When I went home from work yesterday, I was quite surprised when our house was banging with loud sounds. For the first time in two years, the whole house was music-filled. I found out that my father has set up the home theater system that was brought all the way from Cebu. Actually, he brought it all the way from Dubai and when he went home to Cebu he just junked it on the storage room. So for it to have its use, I asked him to give it to me. Also, it’s rather expensive to buy a brand new one so a secondhand that functions without a glitch is fine with me.

But the home theater system lacks one thing, a television. My father left it in Cebu as they are using it. Although, it still functions without a TV I think it would be great with a 40” Sony Bravia that I’ve been eyeing for months. We have a TV, alright. It fact we have two. One in our room and one in the family room but both of them are located upstairs. I have never felt this strong urge to buy one for the living room downstairs, not until now.

See, the home theater system complete with a wide TV screen would be perfect for my whole family who, I admit, are certified TV addicts. It would be absolutely perfect for movie viewing and even just TV viewing. How much more if we have Direct Sat TV? With hundreds of channels to choose from, Direct TV would certainly add to the perfection!

But both would definitely cost much. I can’t afford to buy yet a brand new wide screen TV. Also, I still need to find out if Direct TV Packages are available here in our area. So for the meantime, I’ll content myself with what we have at home. I’m already happy with what we have as long as we enjoy viewing our favorite movies and TV shows. Have a marvelous weekend everyone!
