Baby Shower For Sis

When I went home to our hometown two weeks ago, my sister who loves to play football met me at the airport. She slowly ran towards me with her big bulging stomach. LOL. Yes, she is obviously pregnant and she was thirty three weeks then. I got to spend the weekend with them. She would often times grab my hand just to place it on her bulging tummy so I can feel the baby move. How delightful it is to feel those little feet kicking all the way. Anyhow, it would have been perfect to hold a baby shower for her since I could be there to celebrate it with them.

However, baby shower is not a trend here but if I would be asked to plan a baby shower, I would willingly do it just for my loving sisters even if it is not an easy task to do. Also, I know I can count on the fun baby shower games at ebabyshowergames. Just by merely looking at the title of the games assured me that the party I would surely be fun-filled. Some of the games are My Water Broke Baby Shower Game, Baby Shower Game with Diapers, Feeding Bottle Baby Shower Game. Oh, I can’t wait to play these games. Furthermore, the pretty site has free A-Z baby shower game to print available in just one click. What I love the most is that I can track my sister’s pregnancy with the due date countdown tickers. I could place it on my sidebar so I will know when the baby is coming and it is going to be real soon. I am now excited to carry him in my loving arms. Come on, baby.

Delayed Driving

A few months ago, hubby promised to buy us a new car. Come August and still there is no car. Unfortunately, it was postponed.

Although, I was hesitant at first, I still agreed that we will postpone buying a new one. Instead, we bought a parcel of a farm land that was on sale at a minimal price. I wanted to insist on buying a new car since I really wanted to learn how to drive but hubby said that a car’s value depreciates while a land’s value appreciates. He's got a point so I got no choice but to concede. Anyway, he promised that we will eventually buy a new one so I rested my case.

However, I was so green with envy when my aunt-in-law brought her brand new car during my birthday’s dinner party. The car was one of our choices, a Toyota Fortuner. I got so excited that I inspected the interior and sat on the driver’s seat while hurling her with questions which she amenably answered. I don’t know much about car engines so I only asked her about the price, the monthly payment, interest, insurance, car warranty and how comfy is it to ride on. It made me again long for my own car. *sigh*. Driving my own car  is now a faraway dream.  It is not easy to save enough money for a car but still I am holding on to that one particular dream.

Anyway, do check out USDirect for car warranties and insurances. Their extended service contracts include Bumper-to-bumper coverage, Full comprehensive coverage, Power train and vehicle product warranties at low monthly payments. With so many companies offering the same services, it is difficult to choose on whom to trust with our hard earned budget. USDirect is committed to honesty, provides excellence and delivers peace of mind. Cover yourself now. It is better to be prepared as early as today than worry about huge bills tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend!

Hello Mom

I live miles away from my parents and again I am very thankful with technology. I can communicate with them whenever I can through phone and internet. Lately, though, I had a hard time communicating with my mom on the phone. She seems to be having difficulty hearing me. She would keep asking me to repeat what I have been saying. Not that her hearing sense is deteriorating. She’s in her late fifties and for me that is still young. I think the culprit here is her common cold as she sounded hoarse and there was an indication of nasal stuffiness. Oh, my poor mom is sick. I hope she gets well real soon or else, I will be forced to use an amplified phone the next time we talk. Smiley

If like me, you also find it hard to communicate with your loved ones because of limited hearing, you may consider browsing through the wide selection of corded and cordless amplified phones here. They have the latest style and versatility of today’s most advanced amplified phone technology which can greatly help in communicating with our hearing-impaired loved ones. With amplified phones, we can now converse more clearly with them as it does not only increase the volume but it also enhances the sound quality for crystal clear reception.

Okay, I’ll see you in a bit. I have to check on mom and see if she’s doing okay now. Smiley and TGIF!

Cold Feet

Hubby and I are exact opposites when it comes to temperature. We used to have a small fight over the air conditioning in our room. He would switch it to the coolest temperature and I would find myself chilling and would shortly have a sinus attack. If I could no longer contain it, I would turn off the air conditioner. Shortly after wards, Hubby would wake up dripping with sweat. He would turn on the air conditioner again and I would later turn it off. On, then off. On, then off.  After a few days, I got tired of the routine and sleepless nights that I bought the thickest comforter I could ever find. Although I can still feel the cold, it is more tolerable now which allows me to sleep more soundly.

Likewise, I don’t like my bare feet to touch the cold floor when I get out of bed. I have never thought of buying a rug, until recently when I discovered that you could design your own rug in a fast and easy way in Rug Couture. There are a lot of rug styles to choose from that ranges from animal print, to abstract, to contemporary, to figurative and even traditional. I tried a style and design and chose from the hundreds of colors available and I was able to view the possible outcome in 2D or 3D in an instant, just like what I did with the rug below.  I am not much of a designer and I know my design below is not something to brag about but this reminds me of my cold feet and that I really should buy a rug the soonest time possible.

Kids and School Bags

When I was a still a school girl, I used to haul a very big and heavy kids backpack stuffed with books, notebooks and other school stuff all the way from home to school and vice versa. Take note, I have to carry that heavy back pack while walking the distance of more than a hundred meters. So imagine how exhausted I would be by the time I arrived home and how my back ached afterwards.

Now, I am so delighted with the invention of kids trolley school bags because my kids won’t suffer the same predicament I had years ago. Champagne could just easily pull (drag) her heavy school bag behind. It is so big that she can place all her things with still an extra room left even for a nap mat. Charlton is still using a bag similar to stephen joseph backpack as he is still on preschool but I would definitely get him a trolley bag when he reach grade one.

Oh, well, with the advancement of technology, kids are definitely lucky these days.  I'm wondering what the next inventions would be regarding their school bags.  What do you have in mind?

MM: Kiss

I went gaga over this video not just because I like Sdandara/Dara Park but also because she is partnered with my ultimate crush Lee Min Ho. I fell in love with Lee Min Ho in Boys Over Flowers and Dara Park is just so lucky to have a kiss with him Smiley. It made me wish I was on her shoes. LOL. Anyway, this just proves that Dara is making it big in her own country and I'm so happy for her. Enjoy the video and Happy Music Monday to all!

Birthday Absence and Presents

Yesterday was my birthday Smiley and I thank God most of all for the past year's bountiful blessings and blissful happiness. I was mighty glad I was able to celebrated it together with my family and friends I so dearly love. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to celebrate it with my dear online buddies. Thanks to my internet provider. We don't have internet connection for almost 3 days which is the entire reason for my absence, even on my birthday.

When I checked my online accounts earlier, I was so touched when I found out I was flooded with birthday greetings from my friends both online and offline. I feel so loved that it seems my heart is going to burst with joy.  Thank you all so much. Your birthday greeting is a birthday present enough to me Smiley. By the way, special mention to David and Gagay who lovingly made me a birthday post.

Regarding the birthday present for myself, I have found the perfect laptop but I don't have it with me yet. Our malls here are so limited that the color I want is not available but I have already placed my order. I just have to wait for 15 dreadful days. Until then, I can't tell you what it is.Smiley

Hubby's birthday present is just perfectly awesome, a pair of Chanel diamond earrings!  Thank you so much my dear hubby! Smiley

Goodbye, Ace

After so much thinking and weighing of all your very much appreciated comments on my previous post, I finally bid goodbye to my Acer Aspire.  I jokingly seriously sang...

"Goodbye, I hate to see you go, but have a good time..." Smiley

before handing over my beloved laptop to its new owner who, by the way, also used his online earning to buy it from me.

I was kind of heartbroken after wards, maybe because it has been my blogging buddy for almost a year or maybe because I am now laptop-less.  For now, I am using hubby's laptop but I just can't install my add-ons and what nots here so I have to have my own the soonest time possible.  Even if I have a specific model in mind, like the pink Sony Vaio, I also have to consider it's availability in our so limited malls here.  I will try to scour the malls tomorrow and  I hope I could find the one perfect laptop with perfect specifications at a perfect price that would suit me and my needs.  Hmmm.  I doubt if I could find it but still I am hoping. Good luck to my laptop hunting, then.

MM: Bizarre Love Triangle

This song has been stuck in my mind ever since my mom came to visit me.  Why? Because this is her cell phone's message tone! For days, the song is constantly playing because she is enjoying her network's unlimited text.  SmileyAlso, I feel there is a love triangle going on between me, my Acer Aspire and Sony Vaio. I have to make one great big decision and of course, I have to consider all the comments you left me on my last post which, by the way, I greatly appreciate. Thank you Mariuca, Ane, LJ, Grace, Monica, Chuchie and Michael.  I will let you all know whatever the outcome will be.  Decisions.  Decisions. Smiley

To Bid Goodbye or Not?

A few days from now, I will be celebrating my nth birthday and I have decided to buy myself a present from my online earnings. Lately, I was setting my eyes on an IPad but I think it has limitations compared to a laptop. Since I have been wanting to buy a pink Sony Vaio since last year, I have decided to buy one this time. Unfortunately, this Sony Vaio laptop is way too pricey that my online earnings just can't afford it yet. I have thought of selling my black Acer Aspire laptop to augment my funds, as a last resort. Fortunately, a friend is willing to buy it.  Perfect! No need to worry on my finances now.

Well, that was my fixed decision days ago but now I am having second thoughts. (Well, that is expected on ladies like me. LOL) I don't know if it is really worth to trade my Acer Apire with Sony Vaio. I don't have problems with my current laptop so far. I just want to replace it out of "WANT". Also, i have read minutes ago, that Acer is better than Dell and is now second to HP.  Sony Vaio on the other hand, has heat problem and cooling fan failure. These made me more undecided. Now, could you please help me decide on whether I bid goodbye to Acer Aspire or not. Without considering my finances, would you choose Sony Vaio over Acer Aspire?  Just leave me a comment.  I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you in advance.

Loving The Rivals

Just done watching the new TV series "Magkaribal" (Rivals) which is dubbed as a fashion-serye. Although, I go green with envy watching them, I'm loving it and I'm hooked to it. The story is about family, love, fashion and glamour which stars two of the prettiest actresses in Philippine television, Gretchen Barretto and Bea Alonzo. Aside from the sizzling dialogue and the story itself,  I love watching their pretty faces and gorgeous bodies, not to mention their fashionable and elegant clothes.   I strongly hope there will be no more brownout so I can enjoy watching the show until it ends.

A new and budding fashion designer named Gelai (Bea Alonzo) is Victoria Valera's (Gretchen Barretto) long lost sister named Angela "Gelai" Abella. This is because when Angela's foster father found her, he began to call her "Gelai." Mixed Martial Arts Champion named Louie (Derek Ramsay) will find out Gelai is really Angela, the girl he met when he was kidnapped as a child.

Angela and Anna's mother, Stella, was a seamstress while their father, Manuel, went to Europe to work. While in Europe, Manuel met a rich model and fashion designer named Vera Cruz. Vera immediately fell in love with him, and so did Manuel. When Manuel went back to the Philippines, Stella got very angry at him because he never answered her letters. Manuel explained and Stella forgave her. Soon, Manuel decided to live with Vera and left his wife and children.
Angela and Anna saw Manuel hugging Vera. Anna angrily asked Vera why she was hugging their father. Vera did not answer and pushed Anna. Anna went home crying and showed a wound on her arms to her mother. Stella went angrily to Vera's house but she was hit and killed by a car.

Angela and Anna soon lived on the streets after avoiding the people who would take them to the orphanage. After eating foods from the garbages, Angela got sick and was rushed to the hospital by Anna. To earn money, the 15-year-old Anna worked as a prostitute. She came back to the hospital only to see that it was on fire but Angela was kidnapped by bad men who made children to work as beggars on the streets. Angela became friends with a little boy, the future Louie, while kidnapped. Anna left behind, was adopted by a rich man (Ronaldo) and was sent abroad.

Years later, Gelai became a poor designer that continues both sister's hopes and dreams to be the queen of Philippine fashion. Anna who is now Victoria Valera became an international model and designer that gets revenge on Vera by stealing her place to be the best designer continuing their hopes and dreams. Vera gets angrier at Victoria because of her failure of pregnancy that Victoria caused.
