The whole country commemorated the anniversary of the typhoon Ondoy which destroyed millions of properties, thousands of homes and hundreds of lives.  My heart goes out the victims who until now are still suffering from the typhoon's wrath.  I salute the heroes, the volunteers and those who in one way or another helped the said victims.  May we all forget what happened and learn something from it.  Let us bravely stand up and move forward with optimism in our hearts.  Happy Music Monday!

Dissatisfied Subscriber

Ever since I got my internet connection early this year, I can count on my fingers when I had the super speedy connection equivalent to the packaged I subscribed.  By the way, I subscribed to the fastest package they can offer and when  I checked the speed earlier says 0.08 mbps!!! Grrrrr. I wanted to post the picture so you can really see the result but I cannot even upload it.   I am really dissatisfied with the service but I have no other choice since they are the only Internet Service Provider available in our area.   I have no gusto left to blog hop and everything with a connection that really sucks so pardon me if I have not been visiting your blogs and returning your drops.  I will do so immediately once my connection is “bearable”.  Until then...

Impulsive Shopper

I went to the mall early this afternoon and as usual I bought things that I don’t really need. I tend to be impulsive when I go shopping that is why as much as possible I bring only a small amount of cash. I also disconnected my credit card because of this but I do have an ATM card in case of emergency. Glad the machine was offline or else I would have withdrawn cash for gold angel pendant necklace I found at the jewelry store. I have my eye on it and I would definitely go back for it soon. TGIF!

A Trek Towards The Tarsiers

Did you know that not only Bohol has tarsiers? Just recently some of them were also found here in Linan, Tupi, South Cotabato.  Out of curiosity, I went to see the said tarsiers together with my friends last week.  Although vehicles can pass the area, some of us chose to walk towards the proposed sanctuary as we find it more fun and adventurous doing so.  Our curiosity was satisfied when we finally arrived at the place and saw the tiny endangered species.  There were only two tarsiers present as it was prohibited to catch them. In fact, both of them were freed after wards.

Some villagers offered me to buy a piece of land there.  Although, there is a plan to develop the place to make it a tourist spot, I still don't think I can live in this place, for a long time, that is.  I think I can manage for a few days as the place is so green and serene but to actually live here is definitely a big NO.  Aside from the fact that the place is far from the mall, city and civilization that there is no need to apply for a credit card, the place lacks my basic needs, water, electricity and internet. Anyway, I am happy where I live right now.

Halloween Costume On A Christmas Party

There are only 97 more days until Christmas and as early as now my officemates were already planning to have a themed Christmas party. We don’t usually have a party for Halloween and we want to experience wearing costumes so we decided to have it for Christmas. Although, we haven’t agreed on the theme yet, we have agreed that it would definitely be a different one. Since Halloween is also fast approaching, we might as well get ideas for a theme from the different Halloween costumes at Costume Cauldron. Actually, they don’t only have Halloween costumes but all types, shapes and colors of costumes including kids Halloween costumes and sexy Halloween costumes.

Honestly, this is going to be my first time to wear a costume on a party and I am really excited for it.  I am certain it would be absolutely  fun.  I especially like to wear princess and fairy costumes but I think this simple yet elegant goddess outfit is perfect for my body shape.   

Although I have thought of wearing something naughty like this devilicious fairy, I don't think I could pull it off since I am still way too fat.  If and only if I get a sexy and toned body by December, I will definitely flaunt it with this sexy, devilish costume. Do you think I will make it? Let's wait and see...

I am so sorry.  I have been so lousy these days.  I am not sick.  In fact, I am in perfect health.  However, I don't know what has come to me,  I just lost interest in blogging reason why I have been constantly dropping and running in your blogs lately.  I have also missed a lot of PB's aside from failing to read and comment on your posts. I only spend a few minutes to make a quick post and then I let Sonya sleep.  I thought at first, it was just because I was busy with life.  Later did I notice that something is amiss.  I know I am not alone with this feeling and I know that this will eventually pass.  I just hope I will recover from this eerie feeling real soon.

MM: Drive My Car

I have been driving my own car for a couple of weeks already but only with a distance of a few kilometers. However, yesterday, I got the chance to drive to the city with no tutor around. I was relaxed and confident while driving but when I arrived at my destination, I was shaking. A late reaction, it seems. Anyway, I'm just glad I managed the trip accident-free. I have to practice and drive more so I will get used to the act. Beep Beep, Beep Beep, Yeah!

How To Add Smart Money Card to Paypal Account

I was so pleased when I received an email that Smart Telecommunications, Inc is now opening their doors to Paypal with Smart Money. This is definitely a good news for bloggers like me who takes out cash from Paypal to any Philippine bank account.  I have heard that service charge is so minimal as it only cost P2.50.  However, I don't have a Smart Money card although I have been a loyal Smart subscriber for years.  With this newest service, I will definitely get my own Smart Money card the soonest possible chance I'll have.   For the meantime, let me share this tutorial in case you have the card already. I hope you'll fint this useful.


What will you need:

1. A Smart Money card with the starting number 5299. Mine is the new blue and white one.

2. The Smart Sim linked to your card. Check your Smart menu, open Smart money and look for the Internet Txns Menu (If it is not present, call the Smart Money helpdesk and request for your Internet Txns activation). Phone must be online during the process with a minimum of 5 Pesos load.

3. A Paypal.com account, verified or not.

What to do:

1. Log in to your Paypal.com account.

2. Click on the Get verified link at your account main page.

3. Insert your Smart Money Card details.

4. Before hitting submit, on your cell phone go to Smart Money, click Internet Txns, select unlock and pick the card name, enter your w-pin and when you recieve the confirmation of the unlocking, hit the Submit button on your Paypal account.

5. If the registration is successful you will recieve a text message on your Smart Cellphone with text like P*XXXX. That XXXX is your confirmation code. Enter that to your Paypal credit card confirmation interface which is accessible by dashbord/ account mainpage.

6. Voila, your verified! Always remember that after every online transaction, Smart Money automatically locks your account so don't forget to unlock every transaction to avoid delay.

More good news? This new feature is also available to almost all online check-outs with credit/debit card support. All you have to do is unlock your card everytime you have to use it for online purposes.

Destined To Struggle

Ever since I got pregnant and gave birth, I have been struggling with my weight. So when I saw this quiz over at Blogthings, I got curious on whether I really am destined to be overweight.  I can't argue with the result as it is undesputably true but at least I am not destined to be overweight.  However,  I am still hoping that one day, I would lose all these extra pounds I gained over the years.  I hope soon.

My Own... For Now

If you have been wondering where was I the previous days, well, I got busy with just about everything from my kids, to work, to leisure and of course, to driving my very own car. Yes, finally, I have my car I can call my own maybe just for now since I am not certain for how long this car will be in my possession.

This used to be my hubby's car, a reward from my MIL after he got the perfect grade in Calculus. Then hubby gave it to my BIL last year after my in-laws lent us their SUV. Now that my BIL has his own car, my FIL passed the car to me. I may now be the fourth owner of the car (MIL bought it second hand), but I don't really care. What is important to me is that I can now practice driving and soon I can go wherever and whenever I want to.

Caregivers Just Wanna Have Fun

Although both groups provide customized vehicles to fit the needs of disabled people, QAP is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. It adheres to the principle that in order to satisfy customers consistently, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.
